Plastic Manufacturer & Custom Fabrication Service Provider in the USA

Your plastic component may still be an early concept, or you may already have a design ready for tooling. Either way, you need a manufacturing team that will learn exactly what the finished part must do and remain directly involved as you prepare it for production.

At Design Plastics, we specialize in providing custom injection molding, vacuum forming, and engineering support for OEMs across the USA. We’ll help you develop the part, determine how we should manufacture it, and produce it according to the requirements of your product.

Custom, Full-Service Manufacturing Solutions for Every Need

Custom Injection Molding

Our presses range up to 730 tons, giving us the capacity to manufacture plastic components in different sizes. We work with several thermoplastics and help customers choose a material according to what the finished part needs. Our injection molding production capabilities accommodate prototypes as well as small- and high-volume runs.

Vacuum Forming and Thermoforming

We provide single-sheet forming for custom parts along with multi-station rotary thermoforming for larger quantities. Our equipment accommodates plastic sheets up to 5 feet by 9 feet and thicknesses from .080 inches to .50 inches. After vacuum forming, we use 3-axis or 6-axis CNC equipment to complete the necessary trimming.

Engineering and Tooling

Our engineers will help you develop a new component or refine a part your company already manufactures. We can create 3D models, perform scientific mold flow analysis for injection-molded parts, and produce prototypes for evaluation. Our team will also design the mold or forming tool that gives the component its final dimensions.

Why Choose Design Plastics?

We have manufactured custom plastic components in Omaha since 1972. Over the decades, we have added new equipment and refined our capabilities according to the projects our customers bring us.
As an engineering service company that also handles tooling and manufacturing, we keep our people involved as the part progresses from one stage to the next. You’ll be able to discuss any design questions with engineers who understand exactly how our state-of-the-art equipment will manufacture the component. We’ll explain our recommendations, account for what your finished product requires, and then review the part before we proceed with producing it.

Our Mission and Vision

We want to manufacture plastic components that perform the job our customers designed them to do. To achieve that consistently, our team listens attentively, explains why we recommend a particular change, and gives you a voice in decisions about the part.
And we’re always proactively refining our manufacturing practices and how we operate our facility. Our specialists continue expanding their knowledge of plastics, improving the methods we use, and staying ahead of industry trends to maintain the highest industry standards. This ongoing work prepares us to meet new manufacturing demands as our customers’ products continue to evolve.
