A Legacy of Innovation Since 1972
We began as a custom thermoforming business in Omaha in 1972, using our in-house tooling knowledge to take on new manufacturing challenges as our company grew. That experience eventually led us to add custom injection molding and vacuum forming as core services.
Today, Design Plastics is part of Coda Resources LTD. and provides injection molding manufacturing for companies across the USA. We also engineer plastic parts, develop the tooling, and produce vacuum-formed components, giving our customers an experienced team that can stay involved from the earliest design discussions through production.

We want every customer to know who is helping develop their part and how we plan to manufacture it. That means listening closely, explaining our recommendations, and keeping your team involved when a design or production decision needs to be made.
Our engineered molding solutions grow from that direct involvement. We follow our ISO 9001-certified quality management system as we control our processes and evaluate the work we complete. And because we’re always improving how we operate our facility, we’ve installed wind turbines that generate renewable energy and incorporated recycling into our environmental efforts.
Our Plastic Manufacturing Capabilities
Our engineers can help develop a new component or even just refine a design your company is already using. We’ll account for what the part needs to accomplish before preparing it for our equipment and developing the necessary tooling.
Through injection plastic molding, we accommodate projects from early prototypes through small- or high-volume production runs. We also provide single-sheet and multi-station thermoforming for larger contoured parts. After forming, our CNC equipment allows us to trim the component according to its approved dimensions and add the openings required by the design.
